Drive used four camera models and the only one with a full frame sensor was the 5D Mark II. They also used Arri Alexas, Weisscam HS-2 for high speed takes and the Iconix HD-RH1 which has a 1/3" sensor for some establishing shots. Besides the large sensor the 5D has another virtue, it's cheap. You can put it in places where you don't want to put an Alexa.
