>the lenses are darkThey get to f1.3 ffe at the fastest. Bokeh ball size will not be an issue unless you crave the nikkor noct.
>inb4 equivalenceAnd in real use, "equivalence" is totally irrelevant to aesthetics.
>Most of the time shooting equivalently for DOF just means making the bokeh balls on the larger camera slightly smaller, and in the majority of shooting situations you can drop the ISO all the way down and lower the shutter speed. Only makes a real difference for macro/near macro and huge crop factor differences - and then you turn on your macro flash and the ISO drops again! Sorry, babby cameras.>Shooting equivalently for whole image SNR doesn't mean per-pixel SNR is good - the sony a7rv needs its files whacked down to a ridiculously small size to get rid of the chroma noise from the extreme amount of per-tiny-pixel errors fucking up the CFA guessing game, for example. Meanwhile fuji-x's fat green blocks might be prone to color blobs, slightly smeared reds, and zombie skin, but not color fog. If you use a raw processor that doesn't whack colors hard, like capture one, you'll be unhappy with high res FF sometimes. Dpreview uses ACR which whacks tonality hard when demosaicing to minimize color noise by default, so it's actually worse than what you see in their "raw". A GFX100's extra megapixels give you a lot more room to apply NR and sharpen it with downscaling if chroma noise is an issue - even if you "shoot equivalently".So the GFX gets you
