That's not exactly a bad deal if the price isn't absurd, which as someone who bought a bridge camera a decade ago for the same price as my then phone ($270 AUD), could make perfect sense. It wasn't ideal for me as I was a poor student, and if I knew better I would have gotten a used DSLR.
But my point being, you're paying for the glass and the dedicated controls, which are still mighty valuable to have over a phone.
