the Vanguard Abeo Pro 283CGH seems like the best bet but unless i can swivel that trigger handle up i'm worry it will restrict movement as I may want the camera to be effectively eye-level with the lego men without elevating the platform they are on too greatly
i'm trying to find a single tripod for this, so go ham up to ~$500
being it's for stop motion stability and weight are very important. there should be literally no movement between shots
