>>4190550seems that there's a certain kind of photographer that likes to edit bright daylight shots by lowering the output level of the white point. I notice this technique in TV shows a lot too, when shows want to film during the day or under bright artificial light but they want to make the scene seem like it's taking place at night or a much darker setting.
not to sound too critical of photographers that do it. it's not a look I would go for personally but it's certainly a look.
