>>3223670Part of what i think hes trying to say is that you can have shallower depths of field at the same aperture size as you increase sensor size. I.e. greater subject separation which is sought after for portraits. That separation can be even more dramatic due to the higher resolution of a medium format negative.
This photo was shot wide open on a 55mm F4 lens on my Pentax 67. 55mm is roughly the same as 28mm on 35.
