>>4173609Not really. And a few of them are exceptional even today, like that 24. The 55/2.8 Macro is also a very solid performer in AF trim if you can find one. Sigma EX prime lenses are plentiful and good in AF-D form, I have the 28 and 24 1.8s for my underwater system. Pic related was a nother good lens and you can find these for 100 bucks, with ED optics too!
I have a fairly decent D800/Df system and in it is an 85/1.4D and 55/2.8 Macro. I had the 35/2, 50/1.4 and 85/1.8 and they were excellent for the money. I loved the 35/2 it weighed dick and on my Df was a superb lightweight walkaround combo.
A close second is older Canon EOS lenses like the Poor Man's L 28-70 /3.5-4.5 and 70-210 f4
