My father used to work for the KY state equivalent of the EPA. Part of his job was doing inspections for coal mining operations in the Eastern Kentucky region. I have about 30 years of photos he took (mid 70s through early 2000s). He was a hobbyist photographer before taking the job, and he continued to take good photos while on the job. His personal camera was a Canon AE-1, which he bought at the time of release. The state gave him several cameras throughout his career. He seemed to make all of them work as well as they could.
So I'm slowly going to dump some of his photos. I hope you all can enjoy them.
To start, this is Shamrock Coal from 02/04/1992.
