I'm a tourist on /p/ and know jackass about photography. I do have a stupid question though.
My mum loves taking pictures. I want to buy her a present for 65th birthday - a camera that could snap some "better than Xiaomi phone" photos. The main issue is it has to be as light as possible (my mum struggles to hold 1kg in her hands). I live in EU, and my budget is around 500$ for this, give or take. I'd appreciate any answers, as I am as green as they come in the field of photography field/gear.
TL;DR Can you (and is it possible) recommend me a camera that is as lightweight as possible and available in EU for ~500$.
