Yeah, same as me.
That's why I prefer (relatively) flatter negatives. I don't like flat prints, but to get punchy prints the easiest way is to start with (relatively) flat negatives.

Do you want to just shoot them or have them stay still and pose for you?
If the former, you just go for it.

For the latter, make a site, print some cards, and develop your social skills by practicing. It feels daunting at first, easy peasy once you do t a couple times.
