The ISO performance is good up to 6400, where you start to lose detail. But unless you're shooting fast sports, you won't need to go to 6400, except for maybe a concert. Even at 6400, the image is usable for smaller prints like 4x6 or 5x7 or for web.
The weather sealing is top notch, as is the build quality.
Lens selection is incredible. M4/3 has the largest lens ecosystem with the best third party support. More companies are signed up to make products for M4/3 than any other system. The system is relatively young still, and despite this, the lens lineup is massive and still growing fast. You will never find yourself lacking a lens available on this system. Except maybe tilt shift. But I'm sure thats on the horizon.
Performance that you will get is astounding in all areas but high ISO performance. It is a smaller sensor after all. The E-M1 for example is $900, but offers features only found on top pro level DSLRs which are quadruple its price or more. What keeps the price down is the smaller but still capable sensor.
For compacts, the Panasonic LX100 is absolutely fantastic. The Sony RX100 series is smaller and good too.
