So, apparently, if you have a "retina display" (like 15" 4k) you cant actually evaluate sharpening settings properly, because 200% zoom shows an upscaling algorithm and pixel:pixel 100% zoom is super finely detailed. i thought everything looked fine.
and i didn't realize this until i set up a cheap backup laptop today, but this whole time since i've been oversharpening everything to fucking death and it makes everything look lower resolution. also sometimes photos are a little too dim (i thought i would be fine, i stay -3 clicks brightness and check on my phone)
