Would a film rangefinder like pic related be suitable option for learning and taking an investment into photography? I'm interested in shooting film with manual controls, and the idea of using a rangefinder appeals to me. Would it be worth buying one, and spending money/investing on film, developing, scanning, editing, etc. if for whatever reason I'd be better off with a film SLR, or even a DSLR or digital (or any other type of camera) mirrorless which I might purchase anyways with the chance of going further into photography? I guess what I'm trying to get at is does choice of camera matter in this case (or any other)? Am I overthinking this? Should I just buy what I have in mind and go from there?
