It does look you're getting slightly less detail than me, but not a huge margin.
Could be slightly off focus calibration from the factory.
Here's the absolute best I can get, with an 8100 and Silverfast at 7200dpi, medium sharpening (it has 5 strength settings, "auto" is the middle one), resized to ~3600dpi with Lanczos non-separable (which has an equivalent effect of some stronger sharpening).
This is at 100%.
What model scanner do you have? Do you also have Silverfast?
