I thought that I'd have some trouble trying to use the macro rail with this dime at such a low angle. The align layers function in Photoshop powered right through it with no problem. Each of several photos had the dime appear larger in the frame, yet it aligned them rather well.
I need to use a manual focus lens for objects that have things that stick out, due to ocular occlusion caused when using the rail. Seems the focus ring doesn't do anything unless this 18-55mm lens is powered. Since I'm using it in reverse, that function is useless.
I used long exposures this time instead of using an additional light and eyeballed the aperture so it might be closer to F/8-10. Even though it is reverse, that seemed to help clear it up a bit.
