I guess this is the correct place to ask this, but I'm going to try shooting some raw video on my 50D with magic lantern (once my new CF card arrives), what sort of workflow should I use? I should mention I've never actually shot or edited any video before, so I might be retarded trying to jump straight into raw with a sorta janky setup, but it's the only camera I have, and I've been watching some videos people shot on theirs and felt inspired. Problem is, all these videos posted on vimeo are like 6-7 years old, so I'm sure there's a better workflow possible today than what they used.
At the moment I'm thinking I can shoot in MLV at 1/48 or whatever, then import to MLV App, export as CinemaDNG with Davinci naming scheme, import to Resolve 16, grade, edit, and export as...? h.264 mp4?
I still don't quite understand the resolution and aspect ratio thing. Apparently the 50D only records raw at 1592x864, and then people upscale it. Can I do that in resolve too? Just using the free version obviously, and I realize there are hours of tutorials out there for it so I won't ask too much here, just want to know if this workflow makes sense or there's anything I'm missing.
Eventually I'd like to shoot some promo material for my business, just for web probably.
