>Terrible dynamic rangeConsidering pretty much every FF camera uses near equal amounts of cheating I imagine this is right and they are nearly the same

https://blog.kasson.com/the-last-word/noise-reduction-and-downsampling/Instead of being wrong on /p/ go take that dogshit canon DSLR you spent your welfare on and try taking a photo of something other than one of the worst attempts at imaging saturn ever. You might learn something you can use, not half-learn something beyond your comprehension.
>>4231671Why do I consistently see the polar opposite? Why does every objective measurement agree with what I see? Why does checking this on dpreview also agree with me? Why does my own experience with the z7 ii agree with me? Oversampling is always better, which is why the GFX100s is still better than any high megapixel snoy, as long as you just use a big lens for the big sensor.
The only time it isn't better is if the higher MP camera has a real DR disadvantage or is using a super shit lens. The only time you might not see it as a human mind is looking at un-reduced noise, because you can't view noise as objectively as a noise reduction algorithm can. More bright colored dots may scare you but not a slider.
