>>4346559Have some cute 90mm pano JKs, I already posted it in some other threads.
As for the 35mm vs 40mm, I was in the exact same spot as you. Not sure which one to get, 40mm is nice and smoll, 35mm is a bit wider and faster.
On my first day, I went to Map Camera and bought the 90mm. If the 40mm was available used, I probably would have bought one as well right there, but it was only available as new. Same for the 35mm.
After I used the 90mm all day, I loved it so much I went back just before the shop's closing time and bought the 35mm. I dunno, there's nothing logical about this, as the 40mm :
- is smaller (and that matters a lot to me, hence I went with the 90mm for the longer focal length)
- weights less (important for me as I hike in the Alps)
- has faster autofocus
- but is slower in aperture and is a little bit longer in focal length
But I loved using the 90mm so much. It truly werks when you have it in hands, the metal touch, the nice operating feeling of the aperture ring, the way the metal lenshood just slides almost automatically, the magnetic lens cap, EVERYTHING about it made my dick hard when using it -no joke- that I bought the 35mm on a whim. I knew the 35mm in the same series wouldn't let me down when it comes to joy of use. And it delivered those feels. It's also sturdy as hell, I unfortunately fucking DROPPED it on Japanese concrete folded 1000 times from like the height of my belly, I won't show you how the rear/mount looks as it's gore, but it still werks perfectly, no movement in glass, still nicely centered, autofocus still werks as it should. Not gonna lie, I screamed internally when hearing the metal CLANK hitting the concrete.
Still, I might get the 40mm some day, it's just so fucking cute. I wish Sony would make more of those tiny G lenses. They really should add a 30mm in the series, as well as something between 65 and 85mm.
