pee,
I'd like to hear some objective reasons to continue using 35mm film. Not subjective crap like muh nostalgia or muh process, or bandaids for the user's brain problems like an inability to restrain oneself from taking thousands of worthless pictures.
I'm interested in learning about things you can do with film that are impossible or excessively difficult to accomplish digitally. Let's assume that the users are fully competent, and we're not trying to make up for technical errors. So, things like exposure latitude or nicer highlight roll-off aren't necessarily useful-- though it may be hard to tell from browsing /p/, it's generally not hard to expose a picture properly.
It probably seems like I'm trolling, but I'm really just trying to learn how I can best use all of the 35mm film and gear that I've still got. The cameras really are much nicer to use, the process is fun, and I have hipster tendencies. However, I really want to know what I can actually do with film that will get the most out of it.
