btw a 35mm Reel (what you called Spool) can't take more than 1 Film
you can fit 2x 120 into one Reel though but it's risky for beginners...
290ml is for 1 35mm film, so if you use 2x Reels it's doubled up
for example:
you shot 2x hp5+ Film at box speed iso 400
the developing chart gives you few options
such as, what iso speed and what dilution you like to use...
you want to pick 1:9 dilution as pic related for example..
now grab a calculator
>1x 35mm needs 290ml x 2 makes it 580ml>1 x dillution & 9 x water = 10 all together>580:10= 58ml (Chemical)>580-58=522ml (Water)so you need 58ml Dev, 522ml water
(time stays the same, in this case 6:30 min)
mix it well, place everything you need, pour in and start to agitate for the whole first minute, then place it back, after that you agitate only every minute for 6-10 times max ( 10 sec every min until it ends)
then give it a good rinsing about 2 min.
then pour in the fixer....agitation same as before...
after fixing is done you can actually open the top and wash it for 10 min
then hang it to dry
