it is a 150mm f2.8 lens. it has the DOF of a 150mm f2.8 lens. the FOV is cropped to 300mm equivalent because the sensor is smaller.
there is no image magic here, but the lens can just be designed with a fuckton of vignetting and come out a hair smaller for it since the vignetting isn't over the sensor area.
for shopping comparison purposes every micro four thirds camera is up two stops on ISO at all times and everything is doubled with the DOF halved but that's not what's *really* going on.
