>>4474029>>4474032Indeed, this is a very high contrast scene, they are different photos. I have a handful of shots for this scene. For the first image I specifically shot it to avoid blowing the highlights, but it yields quite washed-out dark areas when I brighten them (especially the trees in the background). I tried to go for a rather dark/high contrast version which I actually liked, could use some lightening though.
The second one I focused more on the foreground and accepted to have these blown highlights. I like the foreground better but as you wrote, the sky kinda bothers me.
I even tried a hdr with two photos but hdr being what it is, the result through LR doesn't look good, I'll try with picturenaut it could be decent. I already make different adjustments between the sky and the rest through masking in my regular shots (lower the highlights in the sky, and increase luminosity on the ground/increase the whites basically).
tldr there's no winning or I'm just not good enough at processing kek. I recognized it was a pretty good scene so I'd like to get it right. Here's a third one which is kind of a middle ground. Thank you for your input btw
