I'm found some really cool large beetles I am going to get creative with soon. A rootborer and a ten striped June beetle. I have the root borer beetle pinned and it's drying right now.
I actually hate this piece, but that's sort of what I was going for. Visceral, gross, creepy texture combined with a simple and elegant form.
>>4344035I need to keep playing around with it in creative ways. My main use for it atm is easier frontal lighting when doing macro. The only other way is with a ring light, or angling the subject backwards, matching that angle with front tilt and using the light from above the camera. Not convenient or easy to set up.
