Considering a budget of 500 to 700€ for a canon zoom lens, would you rather pick a 70-200 L non IS, or a non-L IS ?
So far I've only used < 50mm prime lenses, but I'd like to get into more fast paced action, motorsport mostly, but also air shows and sports events, only in daylight.
So I'm not really familiar with what matters the most when using a zoom lens in these scenarios, which is why I'm asking you. Considering you had to choose, would you rather use a better built lens with no IS, or would you compromise on picture and built quality just for IS ?
I know what IS means it term of stops, I'm more curious about whether things like mechanism and material quality matter to you.
Thanks!
