>>3504284All right, it was a good thing that you talked about #30. I feel I understand now what the first ones are lacking.
Those subjects are distant. Someone told me once that my photography is silent. i guess this is true. I'm still not sure if this is a bad thing or not. Perhaps.
>It's canonical, if one can say so. It fits the spectrum of portrait not as your own style but as a notice of times. I feel like this kind of portraiture is getting lost. Now I appreciate that pic a little more, lol. Thanks.
>>3504285It was quite accidental. Two years ago the SPFW got my interest. I was there just for fun -- lots of weird characters to shoot.
But I liked the experience, and took some classes on fashion photography. My interest grown, and as I came to know the work of the great names from the field, I decided that this was what I needed to do. Not sure how to tell this: I had found the kind of photography I believe in.
I spent the next seasons doing some quick essays with models coming out of shows. Pic related -- this kind of stuff. Some SPFW seasons later, I met there a fashion photographer I knew from Instagram, which work I admired. We talked briefly; then I sent him a message after the event asking him to follow some of his essays. He agreed, and that's where I am right now. Still in the very beginning of a career, but very excited.
Didn't work in Casa de Criadores, but I had an experience shooting the Cavalera show from the photographers' pit in the last SPFW. Honestly? Boring as hell, hahah. It's hard, but it's boring.
