If you want to shoot urban street without making people think you're a stalker, it has it all over the D800E. But it's not a replacement for a D800E. It's not a main camera.
That said, if you're not stuck on the styling/VF/film sims/"experience" of the X100f, there are better, cheaper options for compact P&S replacements. A used EOS M5 + 22mm f/2 will deliver sharper results and you can change the lens. But I won't knock someone for wanting said "experience". The VF alone can be very valuable.
