I just stopped caring about knowing what lens is sharper than the next. I have enough lenses that in field shooting conditions, result in stupidly crisp images, that knowing which is the best stopped mattering.
At this point, most lenses are sharp and the real questions revolve around contrast, rendering and weak points.
This image is from one of my "softer" lenses - ZM 18mm f/4 wide open. Given this - does it matter which is sharper?
