40 is close enough to 50, anything else you can use a finder. I get what you are saying about price and performance, don"t get me wrong the CL/CLE is a nice camera I owned one for 3 months before trading it for a Hassaelblad. I might have been into it if I hadn't owned the M3 and a Rollei 35. It just wasn't what I was looking for, it's not a Rollei 35 with interchangeable lenses (what I wanted) and it's not as silky to use as a M body.
