Turns out I had already started editing this one a while back, so I opened the psd and spent another hour and half finishing it up. Maybe I went too far on this, especially enhancing the highlights. In retrospect I'd bring down the intensity of the entire edit by 35%. I added some freckles to make her more interesting.

There's a somewhat unappealing color cast to the image, making her skin have a green-tinge in the shadows, and overall it looks slightly yellow. Good job removing the jowl-looking shadow, but be very careful when reducing shadows at the sides of the mouth. The less shadow, the less expression. If the model has a jowl shadow you want to remove, sometimes it looks good to replace it with a subtle shadow tilitng up (if you have the skill to paint it in with d&b). It makes the expression look a bit more friendly. Nice work.
>>3418905This image looks great in black and white, nice thinking. Overall it looks a little soft. Some local sharpening to the eyes, mouth, and earring would help. You definitely improved the skin quite a bit, but my eye is still drawn to the texture towards the bottom of her face. Some more time with low frequency d&b would clean that up. Again, nice work. Thanks for the dual contribution.
