Looking for a new zoom lens, I have a G85. I do a lot of night photography in the city, usually there is decent lighting but not always.

Wondering which you’d pick, the double the range on the 100-400but with a f4 or the okay range but with an f2.8-4? It seems like the f2.8-4 is the better option to get first, and maybe get the 100-400 in the future. But it’s a very expensive set of lenses, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts. How far will a 50-200 reach, compared to my 12-60 kit lens? And how much farther will the 100-400 get me?
