the idiotically called ''3d pop'' people yell about is referring to how shit in the image looks. you can see it best with trees, leaves, shots of streets, forests, plants, people or just busy shots in general. a so called ''3d pop'' lens will render things where its easy to tell things apart and a shit lens will render things where it looks like a leaf on a branch closer to you looks like its distanced the same as the leaf on a different branch further away. not only that but all the leaves will also look like they are molded into each other, there wont be shadow/contrast/saturation transitions that are rendered between each leaf and/or color
