>>4269623the other side of that is that a beginner would be pretty unlikely to benefit from the features of the latest models over older gens. i'm about a year and a half into shooting actively and i've used 6 different fuji bodies. i do mostly street. an xt5 offers no very marginal benefits and some drawbacks vs the xt3 that i have. if fuji magically offered a new copy of either to me for free with the stipulation that i use and not sell it, i'd take the xt3. i'd bet that for most beginners, xt3 plus some combination of lenses, flash, stabilization, etc, is a way better use of $1700 than an xt5. but it depends entirely on the intended use. for some applications, the xt5 will blow the older gens away. therefore, anon needs to specify what and how they wanna shoot to get helpful advice
