Nothing gets me more motivated to shoot film than a Nick Carver video.
And he just released 4hrs worth of content based around a little road trip to Arizona where he shot his usual 6x17 as well as some rare polaroids and and his new Fuji 6x9 which I happen to own.
Now if only I had the motivation to actually get in my car and find something to photograph.
I keep telling myself that I need to delete social media because seeing all of these other photographers in my city always shooting new things and working with each other is killing my self esteem and making me eternally depressed. But if I do then I have no social circle (as if I'm even a part of it) and no one to share my work with.
I probably could easily be one of them if I would put a little bit of effort in being extroverted and engaging with them on Instagram but my mind refuses to do so. I just post a photo then disappear for a couple of months and repeat the cycle. All the while watching everyone else do what I dream of achieving.
It's a self-inflicted Catch-22 and I hate it.
