According to my understanding, the only downside with converting to DNG is that you wont be able to use the camera manufacturer's software to process the raw anymore. This doesn't really matter as Camera Raw and Lightroom are the industry standard for digital darkroom processing. No other camera manufacturer's software comes close to combining quality, ease of use, and features. Mind linking where you learned that it's "losing some stuff?" I just did a quick search and couldn't find anything to substantiate that. If I'm mistaken I want to be aware of it though. If I'm losing information by converting to DNG, then I might change my workflow.
>>3284517>That's not raw. DNG is Adobe's raw image format. I didn't say "here's the raw file in the original camera manufacturer's format", I just said "raw", which is accurate, as DNG is a raw format.
