I nabbed a Konica Hexanon AR 100mm f2.8 at an antique shop for $20, thinking that I could adapt it to EOS. Only later do I find that the flange distance makes that impossible with major alterations to the lens. So I dropped another $20 on a pristine Autoreflex T body so I could at least shoot a little bit with it.
It's not so bad, though. At worst I'm out $40 for a very good condition kit, which I'll eventually sell again for twice that.
