>>2588006>Proving my point by posting proof that the smaller M4/3 sensor beats the larger 70D sensor.Oh, and by the way, what does an f/1.8 on Fool Frame become 'equivalent' to on 8x10?
In addition, your math is wrong. The f/1.8 lens would be speedboosted to f/1.2, but would have the same DoF as if it were being used on an APS-C camera. So in effect, it becomes an 18-35 f/1.8 on APS-C in terms of DoF, but with the field of view an exposure value of a 12.5-25mm f/1.2 with IS.
Or, in Fool Frame equivalence, a 24-50mm f/2.5 with IS. Thats better than any Fool Frame zoom lens, even after accounting for 'equivalency'. Any who needs DoF shallower than f/2.5 when shooting Fool Frame? Not many people. Not many at all. Even on my E-M1, I find myself at f/4-f8 more often than not. f/4 is my most used aperture, unless I am shooting portraits. In those cases, I switch to my 45mm f/1.8 and shoot at f/1.8-f/2.8 most of the time. Even if I had the Nocticron 42.5 f/1.2, I don't think I'd hit f/1.2 often.
