shooting film mostly nowadays, so lightroom is not really an option, but still ther´s a lot of room to recover a fucked up exposure when printing/scanning. i always prefer to get the shot right so ther´s no exposure correction needed. Sometimes, especially when traveling or shooting street, you encouter scenes that make a really nice photo, but the light is shit, and going back to take second photo in better light is not an option. in those situtians i´m relly glad to have the option to be able to fix it in post otherwise i would have missed on a nice shot. the amount of post processing i do also heavily depends on the camera i use, i have a sony a7 and a ricoh gr. i really love the gr´s colors, and i´m often very pleased with the sooc jpegs, also the color positive and high contrast black and white "filters" have a really nice look to them and often give me the look i want without any raw editing necessary. the sony on the other hands has such horrible colors, that a lot of processing is needed for the files not to look sterile, i could never use any ot the jpegs this camera delivers.
this is a sooc jpeg from my, no further processing required imo
