>>3787429>is that photo really f/4 or exif lies?Probably actually f/4, but no way to actually be sure since the M9 guesses a bit on what the aperture is. But I shoot at f/4 a lot, so that's likely accurate.
>>3787289> Is it be possible the myriad Chinese lenses popping up like 7Artisans [...] could have heavy metals in them that are making you sick? It's possible they have heavy metals in them. It's not possible that they would make you sick, unless you eat the lens.
You really shouldn't be eating any lenses at all, though.
> you're just dosed with a bit of radiation when near the cameraThis is almost certainly not the case, though. The thing about radiation is that it *radiates*, which means that it's easily detectible. E.g., it would be something that would show up at the ports when they check for radioactive materials.
https://www.epa.gov/radtown/radiation-and-shipping-port-securityAnother way this would be super obvious is that radioactive glass tends to turn yellow over time, although it's possible that 7artisans hasn't been around long enough for that to happen yet.
All of that being said, a better argument is just that it would increase the costs. Yeah, it might also increase the quality of the optics, but that's not really a big deal when you're aiming for the budget end of the market.
Looks like you can get a geiger counter for under fifty bucks on eBay if you're really concerned about it, though.
