Got the ballhead today & tried shooting a panorama with the camera actually offset to correct for parallax. But if anything I'm getting more stitching errors in PTGui than when I just span the camera on a regular tripod. I tried a 4x shot merge with just a little overlap & then a 12x shot merge with loads of overlap (picrelated), same results.
I know the close range of a bedroom probably exacerbates any issues, but I wasn't expecting it to get worse when parallax corrected. Any ideas?
