The MD wasn't a hit because it was a wildly expensive collector's item made in small quantities, and was still as fat as one with an LCD.
Have you even used a film GR, a digital GR or a Leica, or are you just talking out of your butt? GR's aren't made for snapshits of anime figurines and sunsets. It's a camera for a certain niche, and if you don't know what that is you can't possibly know what you're talking about.
