>>3181593honestly, anything where normies use a predefined rule to the extreme and anything that was invented for social media rather than an aesthetically pleasing composition.
i feel like these are cliches for varying reasons, while i still partake in a couple of cliches where the shot is one of the easier, faster or better compositions i can find.
>any composition using strong man-made lines all heading in the same direction towards the distance seems a little obvious to me. Especially shots with symmetrical centre aligned vanishing point compositions. (including train tracks and station, road in the desert, wharf into the sea etc). Guilty.>Sunsets/sunrises. Guilty. (as opposed to shooting another subject in the golden light)>landscape photography is so popular right now but the subgenera is starting to feel stale and repetitive because of the popularity. Guilty of partaking.>in commercial fashion photography where they put the shadow of a palm front over the model to indicate that it is indeed summer season and Shop Now. - Guilty.>including a tiny human subject in a landscape. Guilty.>Drone/UAV footage 90 degrees down on a beach with waves breaking on the sand. Guilty>same plan angle of a table of food. NG.>any selfie. especially from a slightly above angle Not guilty>hand holding with the camera holder, legs dangling over a ledge. NG too scared and TFWNOGF>its not so much a cliche but its an easy-bad composition with a group of people standing in a line either as a group photo or as a holiday snap pic related. guilty
