>>3043995Doing decently well. Mirrorless market share has stayed about the same while DSLR has dropped like a rock.
As far as Sony, they are actually gaining market share, they are closing in on Nikon last I looked, though they haven't done all that great the last year since the earthquake fucked up their sensor fab (pic related). They had production issues all through 2016, impossible to find their newer bodies at times. They have also been focusing almost completely on their full frame mirrorless lenses lately. They can be used on a crop body, but quite a few of then are much larger. Their crop lens line isn't quite full yet either. They also have questionable warranty support in the states. I had no problem when mine died, but that was years ago with an NEX-3.
The other two big mirrorless types are Fuji and micro four thirds.
Micro four thirds has a much smaller sensor and worse low light performance. Aren't all that much more compact either.
Fuji is pretty solid, but aimed more at casual photographers with their jpeg profiled and poor raw support. Plus they have major af issues. At the same time, they also have a bunch of wide aperture lenses (though their wide open performance is less than stellar) and their bodies look cool as fuck. They are quite pricey though, similar to Sony's full frame mirrorless.
