I'm shooting a mixed indoor and outdoor event on Saturday mid-day (not paid or anything, I'm just part of the organization running the event) and currently I only have 18-55mm and 75-300mm kit lenses with my Canon T5 crop sensor.
I'm looking at getting a wide-angle prime lens for the event, and generally just to have as the first addition to my collection. I'm almost certainly going to get a nifty fifty, but am curious to hear other suggestions. My only concern with the lens is that on my 1.6x crop sensor, the 50mm becomes effectively an 80mm and it seems like that will put me farther from my subjects than I want to be.
Interested to hear the opinions of people who have shot similar events.
