>>3327889Alright, so I made one. The cans are 150mm, but with the end caps attached it comes out to 171mm. Not sure I calculated/measured correctly but it seems like 3.384x or 3.384:1 magnification. I left mistakenly the lens at f/1.4 for the mm marks pic, but the dime and .22lr pics should be f/8.
These are taken with the Nikon NIKKOR-S Auto 50mm f/1.4 and the working distance ended up being extremely short. about 12-13mm from the rim of the lens barrel. So, without lighting under something in microscope-style slide, it is difficult to light properly.
