http://www.moongiant.com/phase/today/There's a good site to help track what phase the moon is in. I find that a full moon just doesn't have the contrast needed for what I like to see. When you can see the terminator line easily, it gives lots of contrast to all the craters in the area. Looks like tomorrow there's a New Moon.
Also, the Leonids meteor shower is tonight and tomorrow, for those who want to try to get some shots of that (good luck!)
