As long as you are physically able to focus your own vision on the screen, ie: you can see the line through the middle, the microprism etching, your shutter speed, metering, etc sharply when you look in the finder, then you're golden.
>git gud faggotThat said, if most of your shots are out of focus and you're not retarded, it's very likely your mirror is out of alignment. Do a check by taaking your 50mm, pointing it at a phone pole at east 50m away, and setting the focus on the lens to infinity. If it's still split in the viewfinder, your camera needs servicing. In the meantime, learn to zone focus off the lens and shoot stopped down, or just shoot wideangles, also zone focused.
