>bluetackYeah, I really need to pick up some of that. Hot glue even for testing is pretty crap, if you want to reuse that part. It is okay for junk prototypes, but you have to freeze it to pop it off sometimes and if it accidentally gets on glass, hot glue sucks to get back off easily.
I have some flocking on order and have been looking into premixed Stuart Semple's Black 2.0, but I keep spending my money on other things. Like getting old optics from "for parts" type of things and I plan to hit the local thrift shops in town next month. This Omegar lens came from an enlarger, but its front element was completely wasted with some sort of hazy etching. I replaced it with an element harvested from the Barlow eyepiece of a telescope. Though, the new element is wee tiny in comparison to the original element, it has a lot better optics. That's an extension tube and balloon rubber turning it into a tilt-shift freelensing rig.
