It's an amazing dedicated 35mm film scanner, produces amaze results, but is finicky. Like I have to calibrate it every few times I scan 6 frames, or the image will have a line through it on a third of the frame.
The major downside is if you want to scan a 4800dpi image for archival reasons. One frame takes 25 minutes to scan... it'll make you want to blow your brains out it's so slow, but the results are worth it.
I use VueScan software to operate it on my Windows 7 desktop.
I don't shoot film much anymore, so I don't use it often. But here's an image showing the quality you can expect from it.
