Recently got a Nikon Z5 with 40mm f2 to replace my old apsc camera. I want to start shooting portraiture more often and am thinking about branching into doing graduation photos to make a bit of cash on the side. The two lenses I’m looking at are either the 85mm f1.8 or the 28-75mm f2.8 from Nikon. I’m leaning towards the 85 for the extra sharpness, speed, compression, etc. but I’m worried that I won’t have enough versatility for professional shots with the 40/85 setup. Any thoughts/recommendations would be appreciated.
