That was an ancient roll, old packaging style, and intentionally shooting into the sun and giving enough exposure that I'd be able to recover the shadow detail, it was never going to be a masterpiece, but it shows that the shadows aren't ugly red, and the mostly red highlights haven't blocked up. That's my issue with Kodak consumer films, really just too warm and blow out reds immediately, as well as being a lot grainier and higher contrast/lower real film speed than Fuji.
My last experience shooting fresh(er) was a little while ago when I output my uploads at lower res. You get a lot nicer tone curve shooting fresh film at box speed, pic related
